Adding a Flow Computer Report

Acquire must be in Config mode to perform these steps.

Acquire will automatically set up the default reports based on the flow computer type. Additional reports can be added as follows:

1. Select ‘Reports’ from the ‘Acquire’ menu

The Reports list will be displayed:

2. Click the ‘Add’ button

The Report Type dialog will be displayed:

3. Select the report type

4. Click the ‘OK’ button

The Report Schedule screen will be displayed:

5. Enter the fields as follows:

Name The name of the report as it will be displayed in the Report list.
Report Type The types of report that are available will depend on the type of flowcomputer selected. The report type affects the reports that are available in the ‘Reports’ menu.
Flow computer Select the flow computer to use for the reports. The type of flow computer will affect the available reports.
Period Set how often the report should be generated.
Base Time If the period is not set to “Request Only”, a base time needs to be set. This is the time the report should be generated.

6. Specify the report settings

The report settings will depend on the type of report selected:

Omni Stored Report

These are legacy based reports and are generally used for older firmware.

Enter the fields as follows:

Report This is the type of report to download. Use the “Omni Batch Report”, “Omni Daily Report” or “Omni Prove Report” for a more modern way of downloading these reports.
Wait Period This is the time (in seconds) to wait for the flow computer to generate the report.

Omni Generated Report

These reports are requested by Acquire and generated by the flow computer when requested.

Enter the fields as follows:

Report These are the available reports in the Omni. They include “Snapshot Report Template” (which can be used for pseudo hourly reports), “Alarms”, “Product File”, “Status” and “Audit Trail”.
Lines This is the number of lines to download for the report. This option is only available for the Alarms and Audit Trail reports.

Omni Batch Report

These flow computer reports are automatically downloaded at the end of a batch.

Enter the fields as follows:

Report This is the Last Batch Report. Acquire will download the last 8 stored batch reports.

Omni Daily Report

These reports are requested by Acquire and generated by the flow computer when requested.

Enter the fields as follows:

Report This is the Last Daily Report. Acquire will download the last 8 stored daily reports.
Wait Period This is the time (in seconds) to wait for the flow computer to generate the report.

Omni Prove Report

These flow computer reports are automatically downloaded at the end of a prove.

Enter the fields as follows:

Report This is the Last Prove Report. Acquire will download the last 8 stored prove reports.
Wait Period This is the time (in seconds) to wait for the flow computer to generate the report.

7. Set the report generation options:

Print If the ‘Print’ checkbox is selected then a dropdown menu will appear showing all available printers on the network. Select the printer and the report will be printed at the end of the report’s period. The number of copies of the report can also be selected.
Archive If the ‘Archive’ checkbox is selected then the report will be saved to disk as a text file at the end of the report’s period.
Email If the ‘Email’ checkbox is selected then the report will be emailed to a specified email address at the end of the report’s period. The report format can be specified as either text, PDF or HTML.
Note: Ensure that the sender’s email address has been set up as a valid address otherwise the report will be rejected by the recipient’s mail server.

8. Click the ‘Save’ button

The new flow computer report will be added to the Reports list.
