This is an optional feature and will only be available if it has been licensed in the key file.
Acquire must be in Config mode to perform these steps.
Acquire can monitor the flow computer and trigger actions when specific events occur.
The Events list will be displayed:
The Events entry screen will be displayed:
Event Name | Enter a custom name for the event |
Event Type | Choose what event type will trigger the event (See ‘Event Types’) |
Monitored Field | Select which field is monitored for the action event |
Monitor Field Every | Select the time interval (in seconds) in which the monitored field is checked for the action event |
Decimal Places | Specify the number of decimal places |
Action Type | Select the action that occurs when the trigger event occurs (See ‘Action Types’) |
The event types are specified as follows:
Acquire Started | The Acquire application has started |
Alarm Cleared | The monitored alarm has been cleared |
Alarm Set | The monitored alarm has been raised |
Batch Completed | The batch has completed |
Proving Aborted | The prove has aborted |
Proving Completed | The prove status has completed |
Proving Started | The prove status has started proving |
Value Changed | Value of a monitored field has changed |
Valve Closed | Valve on the P&ID has closed |
Valve Opened | Valve on the P&ID has opened |
The action types are specified as follows:
Batch Gather | This will trigger the batch gather event. This is an internal Acquire event. |
Copy Fields | This will copy the value of the monitored field to a specified field. |
Download Report | This will download a report from a flow computer. Reports generated by events are not stored in Acquire but can be printed, archived or emailed. |
Export fields to CSV | This will export a set of fields to a CSV file. Click here for more details. |
Modbus Write | This will write to a specified field with a specified value. Click here for more details. |
The event will be added to the Events list:
Acquire will restart and the event will then be activated.
