Acquire must be in Admin mode to perform these steps.
The Website Preferences screen allows the website settings to be configured.
1. Select ‘Server Preferences…’ from the ‘Admin’ menu
2. Click ‘Website’ in the left column
The following settings are available:
| Web Theme | The Web Theme is the graphical look and feel of the site.
Acquire ships with its own standard theme but custom themes can be created by Ambrit as an optional extra. Custom themes must be installed into the Acquire/webfolder/theme folder and will then become available in the ’Web Theme’ popup menu. The new theme will be activated when the web browser’s cache is refreshed. |
| Support Page | A system integrator can also include a link to their own home page. If a support page has been entered, the link will appear in the Ambrit menu at the bottom right hand side of the browser window. |
| Enable DNS Server | The ‘Enable DNS Server’ checkbox activates a simple DNS server within Acquire. This is useful when Acquire is running on an intranet that has no external DNS Server available.When using the built in DNS Server, the Acquire web server can be accessed from a browser simply by entering the URL that was supplied in the Acquire key file. This allows a URL to be easily shared between a pair redundant Acquire servers. Any web browser using this URL will be directed to either server.
The computer running the web browser must have its DNS servers set to be the IP address of one or both of the Acquire servers. |
