Profile’s Modbus map will automatically be created by dividing up the map into individual blocks with a block assigned to each RTU on the system. The contents of each block is defined in the configuration setup. The default block size allocated to each RTU is 100 addresses.

For example if the system has three RTUs connected to it:

RTU 1
RTU 2
RTU 3

And each configuration has its own “sub” Modbus map.

This Modbus map is extrapolated for each RTU on the system. If there is a block size of 100 the following Modbus map would automatically be generated:

Note: The Modbus server uses the field types as defined in the RTU’s own Modbus map and only supports numeric fields. It does not support text fields.
