N.B. This must be performed on the server.

1. Open the configuration


2. Click on the ‘FLOWCAL Export’ configuration settings panel


3. Enter the fields as follows:

Host ID The Host ID is the name to identify the Profile server.
Collection Type This determines when the CFX file should be generated. By default it is set to “Never”.Options are “On Batch End”, “Hourly” and “Daily”.

4. Click the ‘Sections’ tab

There are 6 sections available:

  • File Header
  • Batch Report
  • Meter Configuration
  • Liquid Product
  • User Defined Characteristics
  • File Terminator

These sections are all defined in the CFX Format v7.05 document.

Selecting a section from the popup menu will show the fields that are required for that section.

5. Select “Batch Report” from the ‘Section’ popup menu

Every FLOWCAL field in the section is shown in the list. These must be mapped to fields in the RTU.

6. Double click on one of the fields in the section list


7. Enter the details as follows:

Data Source Each field can get its value from one of the following data sources:From RTU: These fields are downloaded as live values from the RTU when the CFX file is generated.From RTU Stored Data: These fields are retrieved from either the batch data or the historical data when the CFX file is generated.Constant: This is a value that will never change.From Station Data: This is a value that needs to be configured on a station by station basis. It is set in the station screen.
Field This field in the RTU that will be used to gather the data. This field is only required when the data source is “From RTU” or “From RTU Stored Data”.Tip: Entering a portion of the field name and then clicking the ‘Go’ button will search the RTU fields for matches. Entering the Modbus address will also go straight to that field.
Value This field stores a fixed value. The value is only used when the data source is “Constant”.

8. Click the ‘Save’ button

9. Repeat steps 6 to 8 to select the data sources for each CFX data point

10. Repeat steps 4 to 9 for each CFX section

11. Ensure that each section has the ‘Include Section in Export’ checkbox ticked

12. Click the ‘OK’ button

13. Click the ‘Apply’ button
