The meter details screen will be displayed.
N.B. You must have “Edit Meter” access level to edit a meter. Warning: Updating a meter will cause Approve to recalculate all prove data for the meter’s current base curve. This may affect the pass/fail status of the recalculated prove data.
N.B. To calculate the Base Curve K-Factor and Frequency points from historical accepted prove data, rather than the data from the flow computer,, select a curve type from the ‘Generate Base Curve’ popup menu and click the ‘Generate’ button.
The base curve table will be populated with data based on the curve type selected and the base curve will be displayed on the chart. N.B. This base curve data will only be available within Approve. To implement the new base curve in the flow computer, click the ‘Write Base Curve’ button.
The curve type options are as follows:
|Average||Generate an average MF/KF point by averaging the historical accepted proves.|
|Linear||Generate a linear line based on historical accepted proves.|
|Polynomial (2nd Degree)||Generate a best fit curve from historical accepted proves to polynomial 2nd degree curve.|
|Polynomial (3rd Degree)||generate a best fit curve from historical accepted proves to polynomial 3rd degree curve.|
This will bring up a dialog asking for confirmation of the reason for the change.
If ‘The meter was replaced/recalibrated’ is selected, clicking the ‘Reset Base Curve’ button will cause a new base curve will be created. All old prove data will be archived and the future proves will use this base curve.
If ‘The meter details were updated’ is selected, clicking the ‘Recalculate Proves’ button will cause Approve to recalculate all prove data for the meter’s current base curve. This may affect the pass/fail status of the recalculated prove data.
