Active Directory

Active Directory (AD) is a directory service developed by Microsoft for Windows domain networks, providing centralized domain management and a range of directory-based identity-related services.

Once Active Directory is enabled in Profile, individual Profile user accounts can be linked to the AD account. See the ‘Users’ section for more detail.

1. Click the cog icon in the Location Bar and select ‘Settings’ on the menu

2. Click ‘Active Directory’ in the left hand column 1

The Active Directory settings screen is displayed:

3. Enter the location of the Active Directory server 2

4. Enter the port number 3

5. Tick the ‘Active Directory SSL’ checkbox to enable SSL if required 4

6. Click the ‘Save’ button to save the changes and exit the Settings section 5

N.B. Click the ‘Apply’ button to save the changes and remain in the Equipment Types section. 6
