Add a Tag and Install Equipment

N.B. Tags will only be available if a Inventory™ licence has been purchased and is activated on the Station Settings screen.

Profile’s “Add and Install” feature offers a different workflow for managing tags and equipment, enabling a tag to be created and associated with an existing or new piece of equipment in a single action.

1. Navigate to the station

See the ‘Viewing a Station’ section for more detail.

2. Click the ‘Tags’ tab in the Navigation Bar

The Tags list will be displayed:

3. Click the ‘Add and Install’ button 1

The Add Tag screen is displayed:

4. Enter the tag name 2

5. Select a channel 3

6. Select the equipment type 4

7. Click the ‘Install Equipment’ button 5

The Install Equipment popup is displayed. Any unassigned equipment of the type selected will be displayed in the list:

8a. Select a piece of equipment in the list 6 and click the ‘Install’ button 7

The equipment details will be added to the Equipment section of the Add Tag screen. Click the ‘Save’ button to save and return to the Tags list.

8b. If the required piece of equipment is not shown in the list, click the ‘Add’ button.

The Add Equipment popup is displayed:

9. Select the model 8

N.B. The models shown will depend on what has been set up on the Equipment Types settings screen.

10. Enter the serial number 9

11. Click the ‘Install’ button 10

The equipment details will be added to the Equipment section of the Add Tag screen but nothing is saved at this point:

10. Click the ‘Save’ button to save and return to the Tags list 11
