N.B. This must be performed on the server.
A custom report is a spreadsheet style report with the report collected over a given period of time e.g. a day, week, or month. Up to 16 fields can be added to the report. The report will display data for each field based on the collection period of the server, e.g. a daily report on a server that collects data hourly will have 24 rows of data, with a row per hour.
Profile will print the report in portrait mode if the report has 8 or less fields on it. If there are more than 8 fields it will switch the report to use landscape mode. All custom reports are generated as a PDF document.
1. Open the configuration
2. Click the ‘Reports’ configuration settings panel
3. Click the ‘Add Report’ button
4. Enter a report name into the ‘Report Name’ field
5. Select “Custom Report” from the ‘Report Type’ popup menu
6. Select the frequency that the report should be collected using the ‘Collect Report’ popup menus
Note: This is when the report is generated (i.e. printed) and not the data collection period.
7. Click the ‘Add Field’ button
This screen will show all the fields in the RTU.
8. Enter the details as follows:
| Title | This is the name for the field that will be displayed on the report. If a title is not entered it will default to the RTU field name. |
| Field | This field contains the name of the RTU field whose value will be displayed on the report.Tip: Entering a portion of the field name and then clicking the ‘Go’ button will search the RTU fields for matches. Entering the Modbus address will also go straight to that field. |
| Decimal Places | This popup menu defines the number of decimal places that the value will be displayed with. |
9. Select a field
10. Click the ‘Select’ button (or double click on the field)
11. Repeat steps 5 to 7 to add more fields to the report
12. Click the ‘Save’ button
This will save the report.
13. Click the ‘OK’ button
This will return to the main configuration page.
14. Click the ‘Apply’ button
This will make the configuration changes active.
