N.B. This must be performed on the server.
By default Profile uses its internal mail server to send emails. It is possible to override this setting to send email to an external mail server from where it can then be distributed to individual users.
1. Select ‘Preferences…’ from the ‘Config’ menu on the server
Note: Preferences can only be modified on the server and not through the web interface.
2. Select ‘Email’ from the list of preferences on the left hand side of the screen
3. Ensure a valid “Email Address From’ is set
This is the email address that will be used when Profile sends an email. It should be a valid email address as some servers will reject the message if the sender’s email address is not valid.
