N.B. This feature is only available on the SCADA server or in standalone Profile.
The Meter Types screen defines which meters are active in Profile and helps to standardise their meter settings in Profile and the flow computers.
The meter types screen is preloaded with a default meter list but users can add new meter types and deactivate unused meter types to modify the selection available when adding a new meter.
1. Click the cog icon in the Location Bar and select ‘Settings’ on the menu 1
2. Click ‘Meter Types’ in the left hand column 2
The Meter Types list is displayed:
2. Tick/untick the ‘Active’ checkbox to activate/deactivate a meter type 3
3. Click the ‘Add’ button to add a new meter type 4
The Add Meter Type popup is displayed:
Enter the details for the new meter. N.B. The ‘Short Name’ should be 8 characters.
Click the ‘OK’ button to proceed. N.B. The new meter type will not be saved until the ‘Save’ or ‘Apply’ button has been clicked on the main Meter Types screen.
4. To edit a meter type, select its row in the list and click the ‘Edit’ button 5
Edit the meter details as required. Click the ‘OK’ button to proceed. N.B. The new meter type will not be saved until the ‘Save’ or ‘Apply’ buttons have been clicked on the main Meter Types screen.
5. To delete a meter type, select its row in the list and click the ‘Delete’ button 6
6. Click the ‘Save’ button to save the changes and exit the Settings section 7
N.B. Click the ‘Apply’ button to save the changes and remain in the Meter Types section. 8
