Calibrate™ is a calibration management system specifically designed for custody transfer flow measurement systems with a wide range of metering specific calculations and templates.
Calibrate manages the whole calibration process and provides certification that can be easily accessed and audited. Calibration data for every piece of instrumentation is archived to create a complete calibration history for multiple metering stations. The archived data can be an invaluable resource for conducting a wide range of performance analysis.
A station can be configured to be calibrated either by tag or by meter run. Calibrating by meter run combines multiple tag based calibrations into a single calibration event based around calibrating the meter run in its entirety in a single session.
N.B. In Profile, “calibration” is used as a catch-all term for a certification, calibration or meter prove.
Glossary
Certification | Certifications are performed by a third party outside of Profile and then entered into Profile manually. |
Calibration | Calibrations are performed within Profile. A station can be configured to be calibrated either ‘By Tag’ or ‘By Meter Run’. Calibrating by meter run combines multiple tag based calibrations into a single calibration event based around calibrating the meter run in its entirety in a single session. |
Meter Prove | Meter Proves can be collected by Profile from an RTU directly or using a VIA, added to Profile manually, or imported from a csv file. |
Calibrate By Tag | Calibrations will be linked to the tag and performed individually. A tag can have one or more calibrations linked against it. |
Calibrate By Meter Run | Calibrations will be grouped by meter run so all the meter run calibrations are performed in one go. |
Calibration Frequency | How often the calibration must be performed. |
Last Calibrated | The date that the equipment was last calibrated or when the meter was last proved. |
Calibration Due | If the last calibration was successful, the Calibration Due date will be calculated automatically based on the date of the last calibration and the calibration frequency.
If the last calibration was unsuccessful, the issues need to be resolved as soon as possible and therefore the Calibration Due date will be the Last Calibrated date. |
Calibrated | All calibrations were successful and no calibrations are overdue. N.B. If a calibration frequency is not set for the tag then the equipment is assumed to be calibrated. |
Not Calibrated | One or more calibrations were unsuccessful and/or there are calibrations overdue. |
In Progress | The calibration was started but not completed (meter run calibrations only). |
As Found | As Found refers to measurement data recorded prior to repair or adjustment. |
As Left | As Left refers to the measurement data recorded after repair or adjustment. |
As Found/As Left | As Found / As Left refers to measurement data recorded for an item that does not require adjustment or repair. |
Skipped | The calibration was manually skipped (meter run calibrations only). |
